Dorrigo Crystal falls
A great day trip from Sawtell is via Bellingen to Dorrigo National Park which has great walking tracks. You need about 3 hours to complete the Wonga Walk through lush sub-tropical rainforest to the Crystal Shower Falls. At the falls the track passes behind the waterfall within a water-worn cavern and look back through the veil of falling water. A footbridge takes you across the front of Tristania Falls, giving an excellent view and great photos. Don’t forget to take some water and wear comfortable shoes as the track has a few steep and slippery sections.
