Pool Access Changes
Our contractual agreement with Sawtell Pool has changed and we are no longer able to provide our guests with unlimited access to the pool. Unfortunately, pool management are not willing to pre-sell entry tickets for us for distribution to our guest. We still wish to provide our guest with one free pool entry per person per day. Guests will need to purchase their entry at the pool and request a Tax Invoice so we can reimburse the full amount per day.
Sea Birds Re-Turn
Little Turns have once again returned to our foreshores for breeding on the southern side of Bonville Creek. They nest on the ground in the open, on sand dunes at sites along the NSW coast. There is a large breeding ground situated on the southern side of Bonville Creek. This site is regularly monitored by NPWS and has been an identified breeding site since at least 1971. Nesting season is between September & February. Little Terns can be identified by the black line that extends from the bill through the eye and a short triangular white brow above, but does not extend past the eye. The beak is usually yellow with a black tip. The large flight feathers are darker in colour toward the edge of the wings.The Little Tern has been declared an endangered species and the Department of Environment and Conservation is actively promoting its protection.
