The Sawtell Chilli Festival has been an annual event in First Avenue for more than 20 years. It attracts over 13,000 people to the village on the first Saturday of July.

The festival features over 100 chilli related stalls offering a variety of foods and flavours from some of Australia’s leading chilli product manufacturers as well as local restaurants and cafes showcasing their own famous cuisine. Make sure you arrive hungry as there is so much to taste, and, of course, products to take home.
For a small seaside village, Sawtell certainly has a big music scene to choose from, with artists that are both local and from further afield. Entertainment, music, kids activities, competitions and giveaways guarantee a great day out for the whole family.
The festival is an iconic local event and has grown from strength to strength in terms of visitor numbers across the years.
